Summer Bucket List

Whether you use this to guide your summer adventures, or create your own, make sure you fill your summer with all kinds of fun. Do the things that scare you, the things that bring you joy, and the things that you have always been too busy to do before.

  • Take a road trip with friends for a weekend
  • Use a random destination generator to plan the road trip, if you are feeling brave
  • Go to a drive-in movie
  • Have a bonfire
  • Rent a canoe or kayak for a day
  • Hammock in a park
  • Find free concerts or shows to watch in local parks
  • Go caving (Maquoketa Caves is great if you will be staying nearby)
  • Go to a baseball game
  • Ride a ferris wheel
  • Skydive
  • Watch fireworks on the Fourth of July
  • Plant a garden
  • Take a bike tour of a random city
  • Read three books off the NYT best seller’s list
  • Find a new hobby
  • Rent a cabin with friends for a weekend and unplug from the world
  • Go to the county fair
  • Find garage sales
  • Go to lunch with a friend you haven’t connected with recently
  • Hike trails
  • Have a picnic
  • Perform an insanely kind gesture for a stranger
  • Watch the sunset
  • Learn something new
  • Make a blanket fort
  • Overcome a fear and do something that you have always wanted to do
